Max's Words and more

I am catching up on journals tonight while the rest of the house sleeps. I thought I would write down a few of Max's newest phrases and such. He just cracks us up. Maybe he will crack you up too. I still promise an Avalon post. I just don't have the pictures on this computer tonight.

As I helped him pick up his cars, "Good job, Mama. There you go. You got it." He had asked me to help but quit after the first one to cheer me on."

"I don't want to take a nap! I just want to play with my toys. OK, Mama?" Then he goes over to Brig and says, "Daddy-o, I don't have to take a nap, right?" He's already figured out how to ask the other one if one says NO! You can imagine whose become his best friend lately. Not mine.

He will randomly tell people, "My dad went to Iraq to fight the bad guys." He is a boy and is already doing the one-up thing.

Ever since we left Aunt Chelsie's and Grandpa Wray's, he adds Wray to everyone's name - thinking it is some cool thing to do. It really is Madden Wray and it really is Grandpa Wray but it isn't Daddy-o WrayWray or Peanut Wray Wray.

"Mama, if you don't come outside and play with me, you will have to go to time-out RIGHT NOW!"

"Peanut, stop looking at me, just suck your thumb!"

He finally started saying that he has a new house and doesn't live in Lawton, OK but he still asks to go play with Gabe and Caleb. For a whole month when we would ask him where we were going to get him excited about the day's events, he would say, "To Caleb's house to eat pancakes!!!" or "To Gabe's house to play with his bus!!!" It took us awhile to learn to stop asking. It was too sad.

He is digressing in his progress since vacation. He has forgotten his ABC's and after T says O-M then continues on and when counting he always leaves 4 out. He will only do 'homework' if I use Skittles or Swedish Fish in the lesson.

He sings about every song we do. Brig has him dancing around the house rapping, "It's my Swagger wagon... It's my Swagger wagon. Where my kids at? Where my kids at?" We will have to video this.

If you ask him a question that begins with why, he looks at you and says, "because".

We has given the whole family several alter egos. After a movie, we all take on new characters. We have about 10 sets of names. After watching Monsters, Inc., he became Sully. Brig is Mike. I am Randall and Avalon is Boo. We are the DragonTales, Sesame Street monsters, scripture names, Cars cars, Bob the Builder people, and Toy Story characters. Throughout the day, he will call me "Wendy" for instance and I am suppose to refer back to him as "Bob." The problem is, I can't keep up and Brig and I are constantly sitting there trying to remember his name with that certain set. If Buzz asks me for a cracker and I give it to him, I will always get, "Thanks, Rex." And he corrects us when we mess it up. I think my favorite is when we calls Avalon "Hamm." Tonight, he was Nephi, I was Laman, and Brig was King Laban. I am always the BAD GUY so I was just glad Brig was worse for once.

He will pout if he can't say every prayer. We had to stop letting him because he says the same three sentences and when we try to pipe in and tell him something else to say, he looks up at us with a big grin and speeds up and ends it as to not allow anything else between it. He knows he says the shortest prayers and wants to keep it that way. The other day, he did add a few other things. He blessed his lion bite and Daddy's snake bite. (He got a mosquito bite that he told us is a lion bite.)

He is a buster sometimes, but we love this age!

We miss you guys! Caleb asks about his buddy Max all the time. We'll definitely look you up if we go to Utah.

I am the luckiest and most blessed grandma and mama in the whole world. I am soooo glad that you all blog and are writing down the funny/cute things the grandbabies do. Bob was pretty quiet too cuz he had to give me the limelight and there wasn't room for two.
