Easter 2013

Ask Brig how hard it is to get 4 kids 5 and under to stand still, look at the camera, and actually all smile. IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Don't even attempt with 7. We did an Easter egg hunt yesterday after the darn BYU one failed us. The first 34 kids got hundreds of eggs and the other 3,234 walked away empty-handed. Can you imagine the disappointment? Not well-planned. Thanks to Uncle Jer for throwing one together at the last minute and turned their frowns upside down. Love this crazy guy who still tries with the camera!

Finally some nice park weather...

Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Odie came with Bridger, Connor, and Emma for their Spring Break. The kids have had an absolute blast, especially now that we can be in the sun! We have been laser tagging and fallen off the wagon for our Biggest Loser challenge. (Oops... but the yummy Japanese food coupled with In-and-Out, KFC, and Sub Zero ice cream AND Costco hotdogs and churros and sampling is hard to resist!) More pics to follow. How cute are these twirps?

Remembering Camie

It seems hard to believe that it has been a year since Aunt Camie's death. The kids spent the afternoon making cookies and taking them to the widows in our ward to honor her. This seemed fitting since she loved the elderly and lonely. That evening we ate Kozy Shack rice pudding, looked at pics and videos of her, watched a funny old school Mickey Mouse show (and laughed hard), listened to some of her favorite songs, and told stories. The kids gathered things around the house that Camie had given them and we even washed our hands with her famous peppermint soap. We did it all Camie-fashion - got the kids wound up before bed and let them stay up as long as they could handle...
