Si is TWO!

The Si Guy turned 2 on Saturday. We walked to the Provo Bakery in the morning since he pooped in the toilet the night before (plus it was a great start to the celebration). He picked his very own white sprinkled DONUT and enjoyed every bite. That evening we went up to the canyon with the Weeks (our family friends). He just loves to be outside and run around with the big kids. He is so easy to please and just wanted a BIG TRUCK... so we hit up some yard sales and found a few. He got new CARS undies (thanks to Little Grandma and Grandpa Craig) now that he is a big boy and an awesome LEGO Duplo set from Grandma Risa and Grandpa Barry. (All 3 kids were excited about this.) He builds and builds. He is growing up too fast... and from Saturday on just started calling Brig and me 'Mom and Dad' instead of 'Mommy and Daddy.' We will always feel so lucky to have him after his little heart scare. He reminds us to enjoy the simple things and is such a character and so happy. We love you SO MUCH.

Die Susse Schwester Ullmann

One of my favorite Germans, Giesela Ullmann, came to Utah this past week and what a treat it was to see her. It was so nice to speak German and reminisce about all of our memories. She became a very dear friend and helped us out as missionaries a ton. She is an awesome woman for sure and I feel so grateful that I met such wonderful people while I lived there.

Mom and kids party while Dad studies...

While Brig sat in the library day in and day out, we had company, took
little day trips, did crafts, watched movies, learned new games, potty-trained,
went on picnics, pretended to be in parades, built forts, ran through the sprinklers, and missed Dad.  We were able
to see several cousins (which was a special treat in and of itself).  The Waldmann
circus stayed for 3 weeks (see earlier posts for more pics), we spent lots of time with
cousin Ally, took Grandma  and Ally to Logan and saw Uncle John and Aunt Jan and their new pups.  We
visited Aunt Sym and kids and my old mission companions and BYU friends in a
2 day trip and then went to Stansbury Park to see the Funakis.  We enjoyed a visit
with Mimi in Lehi as well.  We feel so blessed to get time like this with friends and family.
Brig took the bar exam yesterday and we will party with him for a few days so
he doesn't feel like he completely missed the summer before moving on to our
next adventure.  (Sorry it's so random... its the quickest way to get pics on here.)
