Oh what do you do in the Summertime...

Mimi's Birthday Party

Brig's Grandma was in town for her 89th birthday... we only snapped just a few pictures. Besides Satchel's bee sting, Ame's fall, and some random kid at the pool smacking his head on the side of the pool while trying to do a backflip and gushing blood everywhere (and Cord and Brig playing EMTs)- it was a joyful time! It was so great to see Mimi and celebrate with her.

More Fun with the Girls

While Brig and Morgan spent a few days painting her sil's house, I got to hang out with all the kids... And hanging out with 'the girls' was a real treat for me. We had a ghetto swim party in tubs (and bobbed for plums), made button rings and other crafts, had a lovely tea party with fruit and fruit dip (thanks to Adayla), and watched "My Little Ponies." This was quite different from my day to day activities that include Super Heroes, sword fighting, monster noises, and imaginary bad guy stories.

Adayla is a real Martha Stewart already. She asked for the fruit dip recipe after we made it and begged to make more jewelry. She is so creative for being so young. Brig can't get over how much Tally looks like me. Nothing seems to bother her much and she is so pleasant to be around. Ryann loves to do her own thing and had a great time bossing Avalon around since she is always the one getting bossed. They did play dolls together, which was quite fun to watch.

We really enjoyed getting to spend more time with them. We just wish we could see them more often. Max got his fill of girl stuff... they even got him to put on some make-up. It was black though, for boys of course!

Adayla got to lick the marshmallow creme jar... she got every last drop!

Morgan: Please take note. For lunch, they had sandwiches with whole wheat bread, Cheez-its, and carrots (with no ranch!) For dessert, they picked plums off the tree. Ryann ate about 3 so I hope her belly ache wasn't too bad! Thought you'd be proud. We did indulge at the tea party later but that doesn't count!

Cute Kuehne Girls in Town

Love Notes from Max to Dad

You can read the first note but the second is a little more difficult.
He has the two most important ones down... his name and Dad.

Hurry, Hurry, Potty, Potty!

Avie's been going strong for a month now... so until #3 arrives
we are diaper-free!

Fourth of July Celebration

A barbecue with friends, balloon festival, picnics, parade, fireworks, family... good American times. Let's go watch The Sandlot.

I am nesting with blogging. I'll be full term this week and I figure what I don't get posted before the baby - won't ever get posted. Sorry to bore you with old pics... it's our family journal and for the grandparents who are too far away!
