The Gorgeous Rocky Mountains (Mt. Evans and Echo Lake)

Together

The kids have made friends with the neighbors and it has been so nice.  They have a 4 year old girl and a twin boy and girl that just turned 3.  Max builds ships and Si is often in the front as the captain.  Thanks to Great-Grandma Skinner for the cute matching outfits!

Hanging with the cousins!

Max

It was Max's idea to take some pictures of him doing 'all the stuff I love.'  He wanted to show Grandpa Barry and Grandma Risa his Lego creations, his reading book, and his soccer ball.  The Legos have saved us this summer when it has been too hot to be out at the park.  He plays with them hours on end.  He loves to build space ships and monsters.  He doesn't necessarily love his reading book, but he works diligently reading and has almost finished his 100 lessons...  He has been playing dress-up with Aunt Jewl's crazy clothes and making me build box Superhero costumes.  We usually attack the 'bad guy' when he comes in through the door after work.  He waits all day for that bad guy.

Peanut

This girl loves everything about the summer - the dresses, the swimming, the cousin time.  She continues to put clothes on in the morning and ask us if she is 'so beautiful'.  She wants her nails painted, she wants her hair done, and she wants everything PINK.  She still loves to eat and will tell you her favorite foods are cheetos, hotdogs, donuts, meatballs, and corn on the cob (good thing there is one vegetable in there.)  She plays with her barbie all day and loves to color and read books.  She learned last week about a 'yard sale' and has now been searching parks and couches for money so she can get more toys.  She got two baby girl cousins this summer and got to hold Odessa's new baby, Emma, and has told me again and again how Emma is now her best friend.... Yay for girl cousins!
