10 Months

We can't get enough of this kid.  He is so pleasant and happy.  He finally started crawling last week and is trying to climb and stand up.  He is now capable of letting Max and Avie know when he doesn't like something and does this awesome shrieking.  He gives slobbery, open-mouth kisses.  He is saying Mama when he is ready to get out of his crib and waving and pointing and just constantly being so adorable.

Max's Conversation with Brig Last Week

The other night Max had to go to bed without books or stories because he made some wrong choices.  Brig was tucking him in and kissing him and telling him why we had to punish him.

The conversation went like this:
Dad: We punish you because we love you and want you to be happy.
Max: Why do you want me to be happy?
Dad: Because I'm your dad and  you're my best friend.

Max started sobbing and then through his tears said….
Max: I know Dad.  You know how there are two cries… One you cry when you're sad and one you cry when you're glad.  Right now, I'm crying because I'm glad.

Sweet father/son moment.  Makes me get choked up just typing it.  Max and Brig really are best friends.

Camie's Birthday (and some gold digging too!)

I forgot to put this funny little video on here for Camie's birthday (For those of you who don't know - Camie is Brig's sister who passed away from cancer in March)...  Peanut reminded us over and over that it was Camie's birthday.  When we got to the restaurant serving Tuesday $1 tacos, there was a candle on the table and Peanut said, "Look, it's a candle for Camie's birthday!"  Max took the honor to blow it out (and make the waiter light it again.)  We watched the Camie video and ate some cookies in her honor.  The kids loved it.  Sorry the video is interrupted by Brig telling me to come watch the basketball game 'which was going to be just like the Thunder series.'

Ya think these busters love their Dad?

Daddy comes home to these faces...

CAUGHT!

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?  CONNOR!  These two-year-olds were thinking they were being tricky while moms were showering... but they didn't do it quick enough.  And they got in trouble and Peanut was not a happy thief.

My family was in Provo for a sad reason but it was also so nice to be together.  We had all but 6 of the grandkids at our house (and are anxiously waiting the arrivals of #14 and 15) this month!  We went to Gillette for a few days to help my mom move out of her place and hang with the Jensens and are now in Colorado for the summer.
