Grandma Skinner flies in for a few days!
The first SMILE caught on camera...
This boy has been smiling for awhile but I finally got it on the camera. He is just over 2 months. He weighs 15 pounds and has grown 4 inches. He gets mauled hourly and just takes it. Max is starting to play with him by fixing up his floor mat with all sorts of hanging toys and making a tent out of it for both of them to get in.

Bring on the Halloween!
Ummm... my neighbors may be annoyed but we pulled out the Halloween bins on the 23rd of September this year and started decorating. That's what happens when you grow pumpkins that are ready end of August. They should be happy I waited a few more weeks than I wanted. (I guess I accidentally put the Santa hat in the wrong bin.)
Thanks Lil Gma!
Goin' to Denver?
Brig met up with his two Army buddies that he hadn't seen for 2 years for a weekend in Denver... the rest of us went along for the ride to see Grandpa Craig and Little Grandma and their new place. And a place it is! We enjoyed the heated pool that is just right outside their condo door, the hot tub, and all the perks of living on the mall downtown. Grandpa Craig had us walking til we couldn't walk no more so thank goodness that you can catch a bus at every corner!
Silas wins the great traveler award this round... of the 16 hour drive time in 4 days, he squawked about 5 minutes total! The other two were stinkers every now and again, but they are troopers as well.

Aunt Chelsie's Visit
September was such a crazy, fun month. My sister, Chelsie, came to visit all the way from Ohio with her 3 kids. (I need to mention that she drove from Ohio with her 3 kids without her husband!) She has a 3 month old along with children that are Max and Avalon's ages... and she still managed to cook dinner for us and take my kids to the park so I could get something done around the house or take a nap! (Yeah, pretty much put me to shame.) Because of her go-go spunk, I got use to taking the 3 kids out and I would still probably be scared now if it wasn't for her showing me the ropes of how to manage. We spent several afternoons at the park, feeding the chickens, or petting the horses. Although it was nuts sometimes (as to be expected with 6 kids under 3!), we enjoyed their company and Peanut still prays that she can see Aunt Telsie, Madden, Rustin, and Baby London!
Here is the crazy bunch...
