Max and I left Utah last week. Leaving my apartment and BYU wasn't hard at all, I knew that this step would get us one more step closer to Daddy's return. (We can hardly wait, as the days seem to grow longer and longer.) So I thought it would only be sweet... but saying good-bye to family was still bitter. We got together one last time with the Udalls and spent time with those cousins... wondering how big Max would be when they see him again. We stayed with the Moffats (my aunt's family) for the last few days there. They were Max's sitters while I went to school, took exams, and met with professors. He spent several hours a week at their house. They entertained him, taught him, and loved him even more than I could have hoped for someone taking care of our sweet Max. He could say all their names. Aunt Cheryl was Rorol and Megan was Me-me. When we would drive over in the morning, he knew where we were going and would say their names over and over. He would jump out of my arms before we got to the door. He loved them. Since we have been in Wyoming, he has asked for her and said her name hundreds of times a day. It was sad to leave them behind. Megan cried hard when we left and it just about broke my heart. I showed Max her picture yesterday and he giggled and laughed and kept kissing the computer screen. We will also miss Great-PA and Great-MA Gilbert. Max loved to be in their home and has a special place in his heart for Grandpa. Grandpa even made sure to brainwash him before we left. I still ask him, "I LOVE MY _____!" And he smiles and says, "PA!" We owe the world to the Gilberts and Moffats for helping us while Brig was/is away. I couldn't have finished school and stayed sane if it weren't for their help and support. We miss them! We are in Wyoming now and Max is getting to hang out with his boy cousins... stay tuned for pictures of Max, Rowan, Madden, and Bridger!

Shay, so when are you coming back to Lawton? We cannot wait to see you again so hopefully soon.
Moffats, you will always be Max's Provo family. He laughed and giggled when he saw you on the internet. He hollers and says ELMO whenever Grandpa Craig sits at the computer and so he watches ELMO on U-Tube.
It was pretty cramped in that little box. Jessica was laying on my leg and I was popped out of the window.
max, you fat little monster. cheryl might be your favorite aunt, but i'm your favorite uncle, right?
