Little Grandma and Grandpa Craig's Visit
We had a wonderful time with Little Grandma and 'Craig'. (Max kept calling Grandpa just Craig for some reason.) Craig taught Max how to play Checkers and Old Maid and Max learned how to lose. Max told us the night before they left how much he would miss them and then he said, "But there is one thing I won't miss - Craig cheating in Old Maid." Well, Grandpa didn't cheat and the week before Max was cheating all the time in Candyland. Little Grandma became Avalon's best friend and the one picture is them playing Strawberry Shortcake at the beach. She loved having a new friend to boss around. (Aya can't get big enough fast enough.) Silas loved Grandpa too. Grandpa played ball with him and when Grandpa would fall asleep on the floor, Si would kiss his bald head every chance he got and Grandpa would wake up with it all sticky. Little Gma spent her time taking pictures and texting everyone about what was going on at the Udalls. She sent some pretty funny ones... but we won't blog those. When it wasn't totally chaotic, Aya would get some loves. Even from Grandpa. My mom took me on a date to Guru's for some sweet potato fries (and I almost ate an entire full plate myself!) and artichoke pasta. The men went out later and stuffed themselves with Asian food (including sushi and lettuce wraps from Wild Ginger.) A few nights we even stayed up late playing Ticket to Ride and Pitch. We also saw Lucas and his kids while they were here and several other Gilbert visitors. Thanks so much Little Gma and Grandpa for giving our kids (and us) so much love and attention. We appreciate all that you did and hope you come back again soon.
